My New Business Adventure

A few weeks ago I told you about a business proposal I'd received. Today I'm ready to tell you about it, since I decided to accept the proposal.

For several years I've written for the Nebraska Family Times newspaper. It's a monthly newspaper, full of Christian news. You can check it out at www.nebraskafamilytimes.net

The owner of the paper is a wonderful woman named Vyckie. She is raising seven cute, friendly, intelligent children, and she even homeschools them! Vyckie decided that to spend more time with her children and their education, she had to give up the paper. She asked me to buy it and take over!

At first I was overwhelmed with her proposal and thought "no way"! But as I prayed about it and considered it, I gradually came to see it as a great and timely opportunity for me and my family. Several events showed me that this was something that would be an answer to prayers, and the perfect long-term "project" for me.

So, as of August 11, 2008, I will be the owner of a new newspaper! Vyckie has done a fantastic job with the paper, and she has answered hundreds of MY questions in getting started.
