Yesterday Morgan and I went shopping for a homecoming dress. She's going with several friends who are girls . . . I'm not ready for her to want to go with a boy yet! It's nice that she's at the age where she can shop by herself, mostly. I went to Christopher and Banks (yes, an "old lady" store) while she checked out Maurices. When I met her a little while later, she had several dresses to try on.
She found several that fit and I approved of, but before the decision could be made, a friend had to be consulted. I took a picture of Morgan with her cell phone, sent it to her friend, and while she was waiting for her friend's reply, I also sent a picture on my cell phone, to Tim. Luckily both her friend and her dad approved, and so she bought the dress! Next stop, shoes . . . and again she found a pair very quickly.
She is so excited to go to the dance, and I'm so thankful she's enjoying high school. I'll post a picture of her in her dress, next week.

I have always loved being a moms. And I've enjoyed every stage my kids have been through . . . but I don't want to go back to any of those stages, either.
Our kids--a 16 year-old boy and 14 year-old girl--are at a neat age. They each have their own point of view and can discuss current issues and life plans. It's a little scary sometimes to realize that my time with them is almost over . . . my husband and I have worked hard to instill our values in our kids, but they're to the point where they're making their own decisions . . . we pray that they make wise ones.
As well as a mom, I'm an author, and a nurse. I've worked in many areas of nursing, and was blessed to be a mostly at-home mom. I currently work several short shifts every week at a private duty job.

How was the homecoming dance? Did Cody go? I want to see pictures. Casey is a queen candidate, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. Busy week ahead!
I'm waiting patiently for pictures of Morgan in that new dress. I am trying to get the rest of my homecoming pics on my blog. I do understand, but...your homecoming was before ours!!!
